Toddler Program
For toddlers, imagination and curiosity are where the learning begins! At Jaycees Early Learning Center, our toddler classes are designed to help spark curiosity and imagination in your child and help them grow and develop physically, mentally, socially and emotionally.
Toddler Learning
Our well-balanced toddler program helps to boost your child’s confidence as they explore the world around them through hands-on learning activities. Each day, your little one will spend the majority of their time exploring and experiencing a variety of activities inside our toddler activity center or outside in our play area. Throughout the day, our teachers will also engage each child individually in conversations to encourage growing language skills.
Our toddler daycare program follows the Maryland State Department of Education’s Healthy Beginnings Guidelines to help nurture the tremendous potential for learning and growth that your child has. We track the developmental progress of each child in our care and plan fun, healthy, and interactive activities to encourage their growth in:
- Personal-Social Development. Increases a toddler’s awareness of themselves, how they feel about others and how they interact and play with others around them.
- Cognitive Development. A toddler’s continuing ability to listen and understand the others in the world around them.
- Physical Development. Increases a toddler’s ability to master basic skills such as walking, running, hopping, jumping, kicking and balancing.
- Language Development. A toddler’s ability to listen, understand and use words when communicating. Our teachers will help your toddlers build their verbal and non-verbal skills and gestures through telling stories, reading books and singing songs.
Toddler Classes
Our toddler classrooms are designed to develop social skills and to promote learning about the surrounding environment. Within the classroom, there are a variety of learning centers where children choose to play in the area that best suits their interests and learning style. All of our classrooms provide a safe and secure childcare experience. Our dedicated and highly trained teachers and caregivers make learning fun and enjoyable, implementing Jaycees early childhood education curriculum.
