Welcome back to the Jaycees Early Learning Center blog! We’ve been discussing what parents looking for high-quality, trustworthy child care facilities should be aware of while deciding on the right daycare for their family. We’d encourage you to go back and check out our previous post, if you get the opportunity, as we outlined some key points that are worth noting. Whether you are interested in learning more about our Fort Washington child care facility or have other considerations, our intent is to always provide practical value for our readers.
Today’s post is no different, as we are highlighting the various daycare programs we offer at Jaycee Early Learning Center. So read on if you are interested in learning about the wide range of daycare programs we offer. Each has been tailored for a particular age group’s developmental needs, and that’s just one more way we put our education and experience to good use here at Jaycees Early Learning Center!
Infant Program
This is a foundational, crucial period for the development of a child. The core skills learned during infancy will be a platform on which all other abilities rest. Our Fort Washington daycare center features large infant rooms, where our teachers can work individually with each infant to develop their physical, psychosocial, and cognitive abilities. We offer unique, research-supported curriculum for infants under our care, with a specific focus on language development.
Toddler Program
Our toddler learning courses also focus on development in physical, psychosocial, cognitive, and language-based areas. We emphasize the exploration and discovery of the outside world with our toddlers, with a particular focus on social development.
Two Year Program
If you are looking for classes for toddlers, our Two Year Program is all about hands-on, interactive learning. Jaycees Early Learning Center offers curriculum that includes:
- Arts and Crafts
- Language and Literacy
- Dramatic Play
- Building Blocks
- Computer
- Library
- Music
Three Year Program
Our Three Year Program continues with the theme of interactive learning through play. This is a time of life where peer relationships become more important to children, so our curriculum is more rooted in relationship development at this stage in childhood development.
Four Year Program
Our Four Year Program is purposeful in its efforts to prepare children for school. Through emphasizing concepts such as the letters of the alphabet, writing their names, phonics, word recognition, mathematical concepts, science projects, and other core work, our students are significantly ahead of the curve when it comes to preparing for kindergarten or grade school.
School Age Program
We hang our hat on our ability to provide structured learning for the same price as daycare, and our School Age Program is no exception to that rule. Our after-school program is focused on developing the social and cognitive sides of our students, with a special focus on tutoring and homework aid if need be.
Summer Program
Our Fort Washington summer day camp is downright awesome. It has so much to offer students in terms of fun activities and learning. Usually the two go hand-in-hand at Jaycees, and we make sure that our Summer Program follows that trend! Students can look forward to:
- An interactive learning center that has a large computer lab and computers in each classroom.
- An introduction to Spanish.
- Weekly field trips based on curriculum or a theme.
- A safe, secure, and healthy learning environment.
- High Reach Learning Curriculum (Approved by the Maryland State Department of Education)
- Accredited (National Early Childhood Program Accreditation NECPA)
- Level 3 Maryland EXCELS programs
